Bio Information
Chris comes from the mold of nontraditional musicians reared in and around the music scene in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The son of a singer / songwriter, Chris was raised on a horse farm in Pennsylvania where he spent his younger years playing drums and guitar in a country rock band whose influences included Garth Brooks, Waylon Jennings, Neil Young and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Attending Oklahoma State University after high school, Chris studied ranching and was a member of the OSU college rodeo team. He competed in bareback and saddle bronc riding for three years until a career ending injury forced him to hang up his spurs and leave the rodeo life.
While healing from that accident, his focus on music came back in a big way. Chris picked up his guitar and began singing in the clubs of Stillwater, Oklahoma, where acts such as Garth Brooks, Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Great Divide, and Jason Boland all started. Chris' rock influences blended well with the style of music indigenous to that area known as "Red Dirt", which is often compared to a blend of rock, traditional country, Texas Music, and Americana.
After graduating with a degree in Animal Science in 2002, Chris returned to Pennsylvania. He worked in the family business during the week and played the clubs of the northeast on the weekends. However, the return to conventional life where music was a part time gig was not enough. So in 2004, Chris made the move to Nashville, Tennessee, where he currently resides.
Since his arrival to the Music City, Chris has collaborated his song writing skills with many of Nashville's notables and is currently in the studio recording his first album when not on the road with his band.
